re-imagined minimalistic film posters
Re-design of film posters for 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'Big Hero 6' in a minimalistic, flat art style
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
For this project, I was provided with the brief to re-imagine a film poster using lines and shapes that draws on emotions or memory to create a connection with the audience; to which I produced two posters - one for 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and one for 'Big Hero 6'.
Both designs were produced utilising the pen and shape tools in Adobe Illustrator, alongside typography for the film's title. Though minimalistic, I have depicted the central characters of both films and have ensured to create an audience connection by drawing upon key scenes and themes in the films. For example, the 'Bohemian Rhapsody' poster draws on Queen's most iconic and memorable performance at Live Aid, whereas the 'Big Hero 6' creation depicts the bond between Baymax and Hiro - enabling the audience to establish a connection via memorable moments or key character relationships.
