Tasked with designing and producing an emoji creation to re-communicate a song or lyric of my choosing, I produced three emojis in total. These were: Ariana Grande's 'Thank U, Next', Muse's 'Butterflies and Hurricanes' and Panic! At The Disco's 'King of the Clouds'.

 

Each design was produced in Adobe Illustrator to produce vector images utilising the pen and shape tools in particular. My overall objective was to either depict the artist of the song, or the subject in a minimalistic manner - enabling the audience to easily interpret the creation. Moreover, block colours and minimalistic effects such as gradients and the outer / inner glow effect were also applied to achieve the conventional cartoon appearance of typical emojis.
